Banking Exploration with Matt Anderson
FAI hosted its third guest lecture with Matt Anderson, a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Private Bank, at Reedy High School. Our members had the opportunity to learn about the various career pathways open within the banking industry, how to break through in the competitive banking industry, and what the overall banking industry was like.
So You Want to be The Boss? with Winston Black
FAI's second guest lecture was with Mr. Winston Black, Founder and Former CEO of SWK Holdings. Mr. Black is a senior life science executive with extensive finance, operational, and entrepreneurial experience. He co-founded SWK Holdings, a Nasdaq-listed life science finance company, in 2012 and served as CEO and Chairman. Previously, he was a partner at PBS Capital Management and held roles at Highland Capital Management, Mallette Capital Management, and ATX Communications. Mr. Black holds MBAs from Columbia Business School and London Business School and a BA in Economics from Duke University.
Value Squared with Blake Siewert
In our first guest lecture of the year, we were honored to host Mr. Blake Siewert, the Managing Director at CIBC. Mr. Siewert has extensive experience in finance, including over six years at CIBC and nearly 15 years at J.P. Morgan. During the session, he shared insights on career development in finance, navigating industry challenges, and the importance of networking and continuous learning. The lecture provided valuable knowledge for anyone aspiring to build a career in finance.
